F4 Phantom Jet

McDonnell Douglas F4 Phantom 14x5.5” cast aluminium snare drum, re-cast from a wheel from a Phantom from RAF Wattisham in the UK. The Phantom first entered service in the U.S. Navy in 1960, had a top speed of Mach 2.2 and could carry up to 8 tonnes of weapons. In 1974 the Phantom replaced the English Electric Lightning at RAF Wattisham, and continued in service until 1992.
