S.B. Hydrogen

1906 SB Hydrogen 13x4.5” solid Iroko snare drum, carved from the port side rigging chock. The Sailing Barge (SB) Hydrogen, was built in 1906, and sailed commercially until 1976. She now resides on the River Blackwater in Maldon Essex. She is the largest sail barge still sailing in the world. This unique piece of nautical history is the only “one piece” shell from Provenance – the shell was hollowed out from the massive block of Iroko.
